Inspiration to Fawn-Over

The Bakerella Fawn Inspiration Story

As far back as 2015, I needed to make Christmas cookies and was inspired to make not just standard Christmas Cookies, as I had always done, but a standing Christmas Cookie!  

Blogs were kind of new then, and I was following the Pioneer Woman's excellent new photo blog about cooking. She had other photo bloggers she followed.  One was Bakerella. (she invented cake pops!)  She was also a guest in the Pioneer Woman's kitchen.  So this led me to follow Bakerella's beautiful blog about cake pops. And, so for awhile, I had made cake pops with the kids!

Then Bakerella blogged about cookie decorating. It was then that I found her Perfect Fawn Cookies - - which became my inspiration to do these cookies for Christmas in 2015 - - Bakerella made this challenge worthwhile and easy-looking because she had great photos showing step-by-step how to make these for Christmas.

I didn't get any good pictures of them standing but will next time I make them.
